Your Summary
Day 1 – Arrive in Rio de Janeiro where after a brief stop for Customs & Immigrations procedures you will be met by your local guide and transferred to the hotel of your choice in the beach area. Rest of the day is free to explore the area.
Day 2 – Full day tour to Sugar Loaf and Corcovado Mountain with lunch. A two steps cable car service will take you to the top of the mountain for a panoramic view of Copacabana Beach bellow, some of the old fortresses dated from the founding of the City plus a general view of Rio and the Guanabara Bay. Lunch will be at one of the famous Barbecue Restaurants. We will visit the Corcovado Mountain and Tijuca Forest. A 20 minutes cog train ride will take you to the summit and the vast and famous Statue of Christ, the Redeemer. Appreciate the breathtaking view of the entire city of Rio unfolding bellow your feet (this tour can be moved to another day). Evening at leisure.
Day 3 –Day at leisure. For the evening, instead of a regular restaurant dinner, may we suggest an optional Dinner & Samba Show ?
Day 4 – Day at Leisure. Walk down the beaches, enjoy the hotel pool, and go for small souvenir hunting. Or you may choose some optional tours around Rio. Petropolis, the former royal city is a short distance away by guided bus tour. A Schooner Tropical Tours takes you to many offshore islands (lunch included).
Day 5 –Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguassu Falls. You will be met by your local guide and transferred to the hotel of your choice. After assisting you with check-in your guide will take you to a walking tour on the Brazilian side of the falls. Rest of the day is free to explore the area
Day 6 –Day at leisure. You may also want to take one of the many optional tours available. – The Macuco Safari, Itaipu Dam, Birds Park, Argentinean Side of the Falls.
Day 7 -Breakfast and early transfer to the airport for your flight to Manaus. Transfer, by boat or van, to your Amazon jungle lodge. This ride is a tour in itself with spectacular scenery of the green forest. Arrival at the lodge and check-in. Reception with local juice after which guests will be shown to the rooms. Following visit to the Monkey Jungle. Dinner and evening tour by canoe with opportunity for Alligator Spotting . Overnight at the lodge.
Day 8 –Breakfast followed by Nature Hike. Lunch. After a short rest, visit to the home of local Amazonian residents with fishing.Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 9 - Breakfast and full day tour to the Meeting of the Waters with lunch. Following optional canoe ride with an opportunity for Piranha Fishing. Arrival at the lodge by 17h30. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 10 –Breakfast and transfer to Manaus for your flight back home.
