Taste of Brazil - 13 days / 12 nights
Your Summary
Day 01 – Arrive in Rio de Janeiro after a brief stop for Customs & Immigrations procedures you will be met by your local guide and transferred to the hotel of your choice in the beach area. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 02 - Full day tour to Sugar Loaf and Cocovado Mountain with lunch. A two steps cable car service will take you to the top of the mountain for a panoramic view of Copacabana Beach bellow, some of the old fortresses dated from the founding of the City plus a general view of Rio and the Guanabara Bay. Lunch will be at one of the famous Barbecue Restaurants. We will visit the Corcovado Mountain and Tijuca Forest. A 20 minutes og train ride will take you to the summit and the vast and famous Statue of Christ, the Redeemer. Appreciate the breathtaking view of the entire city of Rio unfolding bellow your feet (this tour can be moved to another day). Evening at leisure.
Day 03 –Day at Leisure. Walk down the beaches, enjoy the hotel pool, and go for small souvenir hunting. Or you may choose some optional tours around Rio. Petropolis, the former royal city is a short distance away by guided bus tour. A Schooner Tropical Tours takes you to many offshore islands (lunch included) or a Dinner & Samba Show.
Day 04 – Day at leisure.
Day 05 – Morning transfer to the airport on your way to Manaus, via Sao Paulo. Meeting by your local guide and transferred to the Lodge. Upon arrival welcome drink and accommodations will be shown Dinner and evening tour by canoe for alligator spotting.
Day 06 - Breakfast followed by a 'Nature-Hike'. Lunch. Visit to a Caboclo (native) house with opportunity for 'Piranha'fishing. Dinner and overnight.
Day 07 - Breakfast and return to Manaus.Transfer to the airport for your flight to Brasilia. Upon arrival in Brasilia you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. Evenning at leisure.
Day 08 – Morning city tour of Brasilia on a private basis and afternoon transfer to the Airport for your flight to Salvador. Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to your choice of hotel
Day 09-City tour start from hotels passing by Farol da Barra (lighthouse) - geographic limit between all Saints Bay and the ocean - the residential area of Morro Ipiranga, Chame-Chame, Dique do Tororo, Fonte Nova (soccer stadium), Vale do Nazare, Americo Simas Tunnel (connection up to downtown), Orfãos de São Joaquim Church, Saveiro Club, Ribeira Beach and N.S.da Penha Church, Bonfim Church (visit), Montserrat Fort, stop for isit and shopping at Mercado Modelo (handcraft center).
Day 10 –Day at leisure.May we suggest dinner at typical restaurant, and a folkloric show presenting the Samba de Roda, Puxada de Rede, Maculele, Capoeira and a variety of Bahian Candonble dances ?
Day 11 – Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguassu Falls.Upon arrival you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel.
Day 12 - Half day tour to the Argentinian side of the falls.Afternoon at leisure. You may also want to take one of the many optional tours available. – The Macuco Safari, Itaipu Dam, Birds Park.
Day 13 –Morning at leisure. Afternoon transfer to the airpot for your flight back home
